About Henning,
Inc.
Henning Product Development offers product consulting
services including Product
Design, Engineering, Prototyping and Strategy
to industry and individuals in the Los Angeles area
and nationwide through our website HenningProductDevelopment.com.
We have over 20 years of experience in new product
development, product design, market research, proof-of-concept
models, aesthetic models and pre-production validation
models for consumer products and medical equipment device
manufacturers.
Technology today allows people to view the results
of their CAD efforts very quickly. The best way to get
a customer excited is to make a real part, and we know
how to do that.
We have made prototypes and presentation models for
buyers at top retailers including The Home Depot, Lowe's,
Bed Bath and Beyond, Target and more. We have also made
pre-production functional parts that look like they
come right off the assembly line for plumbing, lighting,
medical and recreational products. We have helped companies
go from an idea to a looks-like/works-like show model
– complete with proof-of-concept and design engineering
– in less than 40 days. We love what we do, and
we can do it fast.
Henning Product Development offers prototypes made
with ABS and Nylon plastics, metal and short-run urethane
though our Rapid
Prototype Service. We also offer “Finishing
Touches” including chrome plating for customer
presentations and focus group studies.
Henning Product Development also bridges the gap between
prototype and manufacturing with our Manufacturing
Services. We have a large network of contract manufacturers
that include injection molding, precision screw machine
parts in brass and Stainless Steel, and CNC production.
We are also very good at sourcing components in the
US, Europe and China. If we do not have a manufacturer
in our network, we can find one.
We have helped companies gain UL, IAPMO and CSA certification,
build one-off working prototypes for customer feedback,
source suppliers for internal components and bring together
manuals and packaging for a complete new product solution.
We have served clients in the healthcare, medical devices,
consumer goods, industrial services, appliance, automotive,
and energy efficiency industries.
From
the initial design to conceptual engineering, prototyping
and manufacturing, Henning Product Development can be
an important piece of your next product launch strategy.

About Henning Zieger
Growing up, I had the unique opportunity to explore
my father's manufacturing plant. I would spend my
summers as a child exploring the many departments
within the plant. By the age of 10, I had landed my
first job setting up the computer system that would
track parts for manufacturing and shipment.
At 15, I began working in the machine shop building
and repairing molds for the injection molding machines.
I would also make prototypes of new products and build
tools and fixtures for the assembly line.
I graduated from the University of Southern California
with two years of mechanical engineering and a bachelor's
of science in business administration with an international
finance emphasis. While in school I continued to work
at my father's company as a marketing manager.
After college I developed the marketing department
at my father's company. The impetus was my ability
to manage and gain efficiencies from the in-house
art department. By creating and implementing a centralized
project management system, I reduced turn-around time
and increased on-time performance. Through its success,
these processes extended to the engineering and product
design functions of the organization, which allowed
the company to launch new products with coordination
and precision.
The filtering of the myriad requests from both inside
and outside of the company allowed the company to
launch new products that often exceeded expectations,
all while reducing costs an average of 15% per year.
The business processes I developed allowed me to
create a graphic design agency called Genau Design.
My background and understanding of product launch
processes allowed the design company to design and
procure sales materials to effectively communicate
to the market.
The design agency became more and more involved in
the engineering and development of new products. In
2011, I launched Henning, Inc. with an emphasis on
helping companies and inventors bring their products
to market with the efficiency and experience only
first-hand experience can provide.
I have the unique ability to attract top talent and
manage projects to deliver effective solutions from
the initial concept through final production, and
to have a go-to-market strategy that works.
